Dr. Elliott Grant, CMO of YottaMark Inc., was a featured speaker at the World Health Organization's First IMPACT Global Forum held between February 13 and 15, 2008, in Singapore. Dr. Grant, the founder of YottaMark, provided a perspective on the use of secure serialization and mobile phone authentication to tackle the counterfeiting and diversion of drugs and medical devices. The Forum was attended by many different national drug regulatory authorities, representatives of the WHO, global standards bodies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and a variety of security technology providers. The Forum's recommendations on the use of track and trace and authentication technologies and strategies will be presented to the World Health Assembly in May 2008.
